About this Scholarship
The Rhodes West Africa Scholarship is a fully funded opportunity for young leaders from West Africa to pursue Master's degrees at Oxford University. The scholarship aims to support outstanding individuals who are motivated to engage with global challenges, committed to the service of others, and show promise of becoming value-driven, principled leaders for the world's future. The scholarship is open to citizens of West African countries, including Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, the island of Saint Helena, Senegal, Sierra Leone, SΓ£o TomΓ© and Principe, and Togo. The scholarship covers all expenses, including tuition, living stipend, accommodation, and flight costs, and provides a unique opportunity for students to study at one of the world's leading universities.
β Eligibility Criteria
- βTo be eligible, applicants must be citizens of one of the listed West African countries, have been resident in one or more of these countries for at least five of the last ten years, and meet the age criteria of being 18-24 years old on 1st October 2025. There is no requirement for IELTS.
